I just received the August newsletter from Cisco Home. Check out these beautiful upholstered pieces covered in vintage Tibetan textiles that they are now selling, I just had to share them!

West Elm Event

Thank you Carlo for having me participate in the 5 Must Have's Event for Fall through West Elm last week. We had a fantastic turn out and many people came out to hear our panel talk about West Elms Must Have's for Fall. If you were not able to make it last Thursday, each presenter went around to their decorated area in the store and we then suggested each piece you might want to add to your space.

These were my 5 Must Have's:
1.Dress up you white/beige sofa with a throw over the center of your center.

2. Accessorize with large pillows so you can snuggle in your sofa or use them on the floor for extra seating for your friends.

3. Use floor lamps as side lamps. Put you floor lamp next to your side table so you can put more on your table top. Create an eating/work area with a table lamp on your table. You always need some direct lighting when you work. So why not accessorize with a table lamp on your breakfast table or dining table.

4. Add a fun color to your space. My area was decorated with dark grey and white. So in the eating area I chose one yellow chair with 2 white chairs instead of the 3 yellow chairs.It makes a statement!

5. Buy dark rugs graphic rugs, like this one. You don't see any dirt and you can use this pattern with any other furniture pieces.
