Marina Del Rey Kitchen

We are getting closer and closer to finishing my clients kitchen. Tile is in appliances are all installed, (except for that tiny microwave we have been waiting on) and hardware is almost all installed. Looks like we have another week ahead of us! PHEW!

Modern Hunting Lodge

I am starting a project downtown LA and the client has asked for a "modern day hunting lodge". I am looking to decorate the space with out-of-the-box, abstract and totally creative pieces for their downtown loft and basically transforming it into a updated Hunting Lodge. I have already searched sites and have found side tables, chandeliers, horn plaques etc. But I thought I would ask my fellow readers if you have any other sites I should check out. I know west elm has some stumps and Urban Outfitters has a tree stump table lamp. I am also looking for artists (even on etsy) that has that modern lodge feel. If you guys know of any COOL even KITSCHY- moose, deer, hunting, lodge ideas or items that I might want to view please list them in the comments section. I totally appreciate the help!!

Dwell on Design Event

Make sure you buy your tickets for the Dwell on Design Event June 5-8th Event at the LA Convention Center. Tons of vendors, architects, product and furniture designers will all be under one roof! Including house tours and conferences. For more information click here. This year Dwell has asked me to design the outdoor space and a space at the Urban Living Area.

E-Decorating - Dining Room/Houston

Above are images from one of the E-Decorating projects I just completed for a client in Houston. I loved the inspiration photos and the "Bohemian Chic" look she was looking to create for her dining room. To keep within her budget I pulled items from discounted online stores and Ebay. Above are images of the dining room table, two different types of dining chairs, console table, lamps, mirror, chandelier, sconces, fabric selections for drapes and upholstery for the dining chairs, rug options, included were paint colors and extra accessory options. India Hicks / Top Design

Thought you might be interested to to know that India Hicks is going to host the next season of Top Design and Todd Oldham will continue to be the mentor to the show. Kelly Wearstler, Jonathan Adler and Margaret Russel are coming back as judges. And its looks like the first challenge for the show is to redo a room for $2000 from thrift and hardware stores.

Seeking Intern

I am looking for an intern to help me one day a week (11-5pm) with my interior design firm. Board presentation, fabric, flooring, tile, and furnishings research, meeting notes, runs and errands for clients and vendors. Could turn into a paid part time position for the right candidate. Ferm Living Event

Just wanted to give huge thanks to everyone who came out to the FERM LIVING Event. We had an amazing turnout and so many designers came out to view the wallpapers! I want to give a huge thank you to Christiana who worked her little tail off and was so helpful to so many of our guests! Also a big thanks to Alona at Capri for catering and Bill from Elixir, for those unbelievable Ginger Margaritas! I hope to get the pictures posted later today from the event.
